Sign Up!Time: Sat & Sun 9am-5pm (two consecutive weekends) and Tue & Thur 6pm-10pm (during the week between the two weekends)
Duration: 2 Evenings and 4 Full days (40hrs)

This course is a must have for those wanting a career as a professional make up artist. Knowing the basics is essential in this competitive industry. Once you have mastered the basic techniques- you will be encouraged and guided in creating your own unique individual style.
**Each day/eve will consist of 1-2 Demonstrations. We will work on all skin tones and ethnicities . It is crucial my students leave the course understanding how to apply make up to African American, Caucasian, Latin, Indian & Asian skin (as well as all colors in between).
After each demonstration students will practice on each other-rotating models throughout the week.
All classes are kept to 14 students or less to allow personalized supervision.

Day 1:
Basic skin care and skin types
- Introduction to your make up brushes and full make up kit
- Cleaning your brushes and make up kit
- Corrective skin techniques-Broken capillaries,patchy skin etc
- Concealing under eye circles
- Mixing and applying foundation for all skin types and colors
- Reviewing face shape
- Corrective eyebrow shaping
- Blush application
- Applying powder
Day & Evening make-up application
- Natural day time eye make up application
- Achieving beautiful glowing skin
- Applying individual eyelashes
- Reviewing lip glosses,lip sticks and stains
- learning beautiful wearable make up that every woman will love
Day 2:
Bridal Make Up
- Creating a signature look for your bride
- Waterproofing your make up application
- The business side of Bridal makeup
- How to advertise and build a clientele
- Creating Pricing and price lists
- Building your website and designing business cards
Evening 3:
Dramatic Eyes
- Learning a Dramatic smokey eye
- Different degrees of dramatic eyes
- Applying liquid/gel eyeliner
- Applying False eyelashes
- Contouring and highlighting the face and facial features
Evening 4:
Period Makeup
We will begin exploring the make up looks throughout the 20th century. How period make up relates to current fashion trends. Modernizing the look to bring it into this century.

Day 5:
The Fashion Industry
- We will discuss the business aspect of make-up
- How to build your portfolio, approach photographers,models and modeling agencies.
- Different careers as a make-up artist
- Building a website
- Etiquette on set
- Promoting yourself and your business
- How to eventually approach clients and find an agency to represent you
Day 6:
Photoshoot Day
- Morning: Natural Beauty photoshoot
- Afternoon: Glamorous Photoshoot
** all students will be given a disk of images they choose for use on your website,business cards as well as other promotional material. All costs for the shoot are included in your tuition.
